About me
Nayseal Basora was born in Williamsburg Brooklyn, NY from a musical family. Her greatest influences Angel Osvaldo Basora who played with Jose Fajardo y sus Estrellas and had an album release titled "Goody Osvaldo Swings" and two cousins, Eric Matos and Ray Feliciano, who played with the well known Willie Colon, Hector Lavoe and Ray Barretto.
As a child she loved all kinds music and loved to sing. She even joined several school choirs and church choirs performing in various places like the world renown Brooklyn Academy of Music. Later she moved with her family to Puerto Rico where she graduated from Isidro A. Sanchez and came back to New York to continue her education. Most recently she was Director of Marketing/Radio/Publicity at Utopia Records where she was responsible for overseeing the marketing and promotion for all artists under the Utopia Records label including but not limited to Jazz Musician Alfonzo Blackwell. Currently she has gone on her own to create Nay's Cafe and is now overseeing the marketing and promotion for unsigned artists such as Atom Heart Brothers, Prozak as well as Kneekap.
Nayseal's hobbies are mostly spending time with her family, loved ones and listening to great music. She has a real passion and ear for all genres of music. Whether it's from the past or present, there has never been a favorite in her book. Nay also enjoys writing and blogging and is working on her own memoir.
Coming from a musical family and having a flair for working with artistic and individual minds Nayseal brings to Nay's Cafe 15 years of organizational skills combined with a true passion for music. Her determination and her drive and her willingness to get things done are constantly displayed on a daily basis.
